FAQ
Can I book a second photographer?
Yes, you can add a second photographer for £350. This isn't necessary, however if you do choose to have a second photographer it can help ensure the day is smooth-running. It's great to have help when rallying your guests for any group shots you may wish to have. It also maximises the coverage of your day and can provide a different perspective, and angles of your day. Their complementary images, which will be edited by me, will make our photographs work together seamlessly.
Where are you based and do you travel?
I'm Dorset based in the UK and yes, I love to travel! If you would like me to photograph your love story I may require a travel fee depending on where it takes place in the UK. There is no travel cost anywhere within a 30 mile radius from Bournemouth. Travel costs outside of this are charged at 0.45p per mile. However for a destination Wedding, I have fixed fees to make your booking process transparent and stress-free. I always try to find the cheapest way to travel because I love how my creativity takes me to new destinations.
How do you photograph weddings?
On your wedding day, all I want to capture is the feelings, the mood, the emotions, the calm, the crazy moments and all the details that make your wedding unique. Love is meant to be shared and celebrated. I make photography simple for you, focusing on precious candid moments that naturally occur. I am in this to tell stories. Love stories, about couples just like you.
We are nervous about being in front of a camera.
It's perfectly normal to feel a little daunted at the prospect of being the centre of attention and having to ‘pose’ for the camera. Please don't worry over this, I won’t just expect you to stand there and pose. I always aim to create genuine, natural images but with a little gentle direction to help you feel that you’re not just left all on your own.
Will it feel awkward having a camera around all the time?
I understand having someone photograph you all day can cause some anxiety, so I always try to capture images as unobtrusively and discreetly as possible. There are many times when I will be using long lenses, which means I don’t have to get up close and personal all the time. Using a quiet mode on my camera also minimises the distraction.
Hopefully, you'll find I'm approachable, friendly and that I blend in well enough for you to forget I'm even there!
What if it rains?
You’ll be busy enjoying your day, and from experience it's not as big an issue as you might imagine. There is often moments in even the worst of weather days to grab our moment to pop out and get some outside shots but if not, we’ll make the best use of the indoor space.
Do you edit and retouch the images?
I know you want to see yourself looking your best in the photos. I edit and retouch with care and respect. However, if you do get a temporary blemish on the day, I’ll remove it! I do try to avoid obvious, heavily-edited changes to reflect a more natural look.
The process of editing essentially involves making an appropriate artistic judgement on each photo and aiming for a cohesive collection. This may mean adjustments to the exposure and crop or conversion to black and white, for example. After this process, you'll receive perfectly-finished digital images that reflect your beautiful day and you as a couple.
We can discuss any additional retouching if you wish.
When will we get our photos?
You will receive an online gallery link with all your photos within a maximum of 4 weeks (sometimes less depending on the season I photograph your story). You can download photos from the gallery and also share them with free unlimited downloads for friends & family, you can choose your favourites, and also order prints too.
How many pictures will we receive?
For an 8 hours coverage wedding, you will receive at least 700 fully edited images. I always choose quality rather than quantity and that's why I will choose the best and more significant photos to tell your story both in colour and black & white.
